ArtSpace at Metropolitan Press presents our June show, Maria Ruenes: Latin Colors. Come see the Mexican Folk Art-influenced bright and colorful patterns, figures, and creatures by Dallas-based artist Maria Ruenes, on display now through June 22, 2018.

Maria describes her art and its influences:

Being born in Mexico I am influenced by Mexican Folk Art to create unique designs in ceramics, canvases, and paper mache. I like to repeat patterns to achieve intrinsic designs that will take you to a different culture.

Meet the artist at next week’s reception on Thursday, June 14 from 6 to 9 pm. To find out more about Maria Ruenes and her work, visit mariaruenes.weebly.com.
