The Metropolitan staff held a farewell lunch today for our administrative assistant, Nathan Torres. He has been with us for almost 4 years and while we are so sad to see him go, we are so very excited to wish him well on his new adventures! Nathan has worked so hard the last few years to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Communications, and now having reached that goal, he’s moving on to big things.
Nathan tells us about his new position at Christus Health: “I will be a Talent Management Coordinator. This position helps with the delivery of different programs in their leadership development area.” About his experience with Metropolitan, he shares, “I have enjoyed working at Metropolitan Press over the past almost 4 years. Jon and Chris have been especially supportive over the past 2.5 years while I finished my education and I am so thankful.”
“My Metropolitan family has been great. I appreciate their encouragement throughout my education and support during my job search. I won’t miss collating but I will miss seeing their faces each day.”
Nathan has steadfastly supported our staff through the pandemic and all the ups and downs of the past year. He says, “This past year has shown me just how strong Metropolitan Press is. We pushed through a pandemic and made it out alive. What a blessing!” We wish you well, Nathan!
Our former staff member Maria Langston is joining us again to take over administrative duties as well as pitch in with bindery tasks as needed. Welcome back, Maria!
